A Staffordshire school badly damaged in an arson attack is to be fitted with a sprinkler system.
Insurance companies have told Chase Terrace High School they will not insure the premises without one.
Staffordshire County Council now plans to spend 185,000 to fit the equipment, after arsonists caused 15m damage to the school last August.
The council's education leader, Councillor John Brookes, said other schools which had been hit by arsonists could also get sprinklers.
In 2002 there were 20 school fires across Staffordshire, half of which were started deliberately.
Staffordshire Fire and Rescue Service's Chief Fire Officer Alan Doig said he was delighted a sprinkler system would be installed at Chase Terrace.
