Waste water treatment plans shown
The planned sewage works
Southern Water says the works meets stringent European standards
Details of a planned waste water treatment works at Peacehaven are being exhibited this month.

Southern Water said final plans for the Lower Hoddern Farm site would be shown in Brighton, Saltdean and Peacehaven.

The exhibition will also show plans for two underground pumping stations, a sea outfall, an underground sewer and other sewerage infrastructure.

Projects manager Damon Elliott said the exhibitions were "an important part of the planning consultation process".

He said: "We have gone through an exhaustive process to finalise these plans which we believe represent the best practical environmental option for delivering these vitally important improvements in line with European legislation.

"We hope those interested in the scheme will visit the exhibitions to participate."

The exhibition will be at Brighton Racecourse on 23 May, Peacehaven on 24 and 25 May and Saltdean on 26 May.
