A mini leisure centre, which has been built as part of a 37m project to improve facilities in Crawley, is opening its doors this month. The sports centre is based at Oriel High School, Maidenbower, but is also for use by the community.
Facilities include a sports hall and artificial turf pitch. An open day is to be held on 18 September.
Crawley Council said better facilities would help address educational attainment and health inequalities.
Two more centres are due to open in autumn 2005 as part of the Crawley scheme, which is part of a 70m private-finance education scheme run by West Sussex County Council.
