A man has been charged in connection with the death of a nine-year-old boy in Ferring.
Callum John Oakford, who was known to his friends as CJ, died in hospital after the collision on the A259 at Ferring, West Sussex, on Thursday.
Kamel Kadri, 38, of Goring, has been accused of failing to stop at the scene of a road accident, failing to report an accident and other document offences.
He is due to appear before Worthing magistrates on Monday.
'With friends'
CJ, who was from nearby Durrington, was with two other children when the collision happened at about 1600 GMT.
The trio had been attempting to cross the road to get to the central reservation.
CJ was taken to Worthing Hospital after the crash but died there of his injuries.
Police are appealing for anyone with information about the incident to contact them.
