Baby footage burglary appeal
An appeal has been made for footage of a new born baby to be returned after a burglary at a house in Brighton.

Police said the burglar got into the home in Crescent Road as the owner was bathing her baby upstairs.

A door at the property had been left on the latch enabling the offender to gain access.

The thief stole a burgundy handbag from the hallway along with a black and blue camera bag which contained a silver Panasonic mini camcorder.

The bag also had video tapes with footage of their new born baby.

Police said the bags were found in rubbish in Princes Street but the camera and tapes were missing.

Pc Stephen Wood, said: "This was an opportunist burglar who has stolen more than just possessions he has taken the family's memories of their new baby.

"I urge anyone with information to call the police."
