Olympian receives hero's welcome

Paul Goodison won Great Britain's third gold medal

Olympic sailing gold medallist Paul Goodison has been given a hero's welcome when a homecoming reception was held at Sheffield United Football Club.

The yachtsman from Rotherham, who is a Blades supporter, was led on to the pitch at Bramall Lane where fans to applauded his Olympic win.

The 30-year-old showed off his gold medal before Sheffield United play Cardiff City Football Club.

Mr Goodison won gold in the laser class sailing at the games in Beijing.
