School in coursework 'help' probe
An exam board is to monitor future GCSE results at a Doncaster school after claims that pupils were given too much help with their maths coursework.

The Oxford Cambridge and RSA (OCR) exam board received the anonymous complaint about Hall Cross School in June.

It said an investigation had proved inconclusive but it was satisfied that pupils had not had an unfair advantage.

The school's results will be closely monitored next year, it added. The school was unavailable for comment.

Students will receive their GCSE results as normal on Thursday.

An OCR spokesman said: "Exam boards have stringent procedures in place to ensure that examinations are fair to all candidates."
