Investigations are taking place into the death of a dog that was found hanged in woods in Sheffield. The mastiff, believed to be around five-years-old, was wearing a choke chain linked to a leather lead that had been attached to a tree branch.
It was found by a member of the public on Tuesday afternoon between Danewood Avenue and the A57 Sheffield Parkway.
An RSPCA spokeswoman said it was a "shocking incident" and a post-mortem examination was being carried out.
