WWII bomb found in city allotment
A Sheffield gardener sparked a bomb scare in the city after he found a World War II explosive.

The man was digging in his allotment on Cat Lane in Meersbrook when he found the suspicious device and called South Yorkshire Police.

Officers and a bomb disposal unit from Catterick, North Yorkshire, were called to the plot on Monday afternoon.

Police confirmed a German incendiary device was taken away and made safe by the bomb disposal unit.
