Tough measures to tackle fouling
Dog owners in Doncaster are being warned they face a 50 fine if they do not clear up after their pets.

From Monday, the council's community wardens will be issuing fixed penalty notices in a bid to clean up streets and parks in the Town Field area.

Dog waste bins and eights signs warning of the fines have been installed.

Helen Briggs from the council said: "Dog fouling is something we need to banish from the streets of Doncaster"

She added: "Not only is it unpleasant to see, it also poses a serious health hazard to people, especially children.

"I hope that this initiative will achieve this in the Town Field area and encourage responsible dog ownership."
