There were no injuries in the train derailment
Representatives of rail maintenance firm Jarvis have appeared in court over the derailment of a freight train.

The York-based firm has been charged in connection with the incident at Aldwarke junction, near Rotherham.

A locomotive and two empty coal wagons were derailed on 10 November last year - there were no injuries.

Officials pleaded not guilty to a breach of the health and safety regulations at Rotherham Magistrates' Court on Monday.

Magistrates declined to deal with the case which is now expected to be committed to crown court.
