Jordan was found unconscious by a nine-year-old friend |
A tearful mother has told an inquest about the moment the body of her five-year-old son was found after an apparent accident on a bouncy castle. Jordan Dixon died following an incident at his home in Far Crescent, Rotherham, on Saturday.
Doncaster Magistrates' Court was told the youngster had been playing on a bouncy castle at a 25th birthday party for his father, David Dixon.
Coroner Stanley Hooper described briefly how a nine-year-old boy found Jordan unconscious and alerted the youngster's mother, Emma Whitelam.
She told the court: "Jordan was lying at the back of the bouncy castle and he wasn't moving."
The coroner went on to describe how attempts to revive the boy inside the house and also at Rotherham District General Hospital failed.
He told Jordan's parents: "You have suffered what must be the worst sort of experience that can befall any young parents."
Mr Hooper then adjourned the inquest to a date to be fixed.
