The rinks will be open 18 hours a day
Sheffield's latest sporting facility has opened its doors for the first time.

Ice Sheffield at Attercliffe Common has two Olympic size ice rinks as well as seating for 1,500 spectators and training facilities.

Money for the project has been provided by Sport England using �13.7m from the lottery.

The final �2m has come from a loan underwritten by Sheffield City Council.

Ice Sheffield will provide community skating facilities as well as a venue for professional performances and competitions.

It will be open 18 hours a day, seven days a weeks.
