Gerald Smith was shot as he left the club just before midnight

Six people who were arrested in connection with a drive-by killing in Sheffield have been released on bail.

Gerald Smith, 42, was leaving the Afro-Caribbean Club, Spital Hill, on 18 December when he was attacked.

Shots were fired from a car travelling in the Burngrave Road direction.

The car then sped off towards the Wicker area of the city.

Mr Smith, who was born in Jamaica, was taken to the city's Northern General Hospital where he died.

Police say none of the six arrested have been charged and have been bailed pending further inquries.
