Yeovil player injured in accident

Way joined Yeovil on a free transfer from Swansea in July 2008

Three men, including footballer Darren Way, have been taken to hospital after a crash on the A3088 in Yeovil.

The emergency services were called to the scene following the crash at 1300 GMT which involved a van and a 4x4. Several people were trapped.

Two men were taken to Yeovil District Hospital and a third man to Dorchester with suspected serious injuries.

League One Yeovil Town FC later confirmed that one of the injured was the midfielder Darren Way.

No-one from either hospital was available for comment.
