The victim's van collided with a load of mesh fencing early on Friday morning at Aller near Langport.

He died at the scene and the road was closed for about six hours, an Avon and Somerset Police spokesman said.

Police would like to speak to anyone who may have witnessed the collision or who was travelling on the A372 at the time of the crash.
