The pair want to continue smoking in their van |
A protest march against the England-wide smoking ban has taken place in Somerset. The march in Wells was organised by karaoke night organisers Paul Toole, 32, and Chris Elliot, 30.
They want to continue smoking in their work van and in the pubs where they set up equipment. Mr Elliot said some 40 people took part on Saturday.
"One aspect to remember when living in a democratic society is the free will to vote on changes," said Mr Toole.
"No such vote has been taken or even been offered for this matter."
Anyone caught smoking in a public place can now be fined 50, with businesses being fined up to 2,500.
Mr Elliot said: "We were a little disappointed with the numbers - but we had a lot of support from spectators."
