Motorway signs to prevent crashes

More signs will be installed on the M4 and M5
New electronic message signs and road sensors designed to give drivers the latest information on traffic conditions have gone live.

The �8m improvements on the M4 and M32 near Bristol are designed to help prevent accidents by informing drivers of stationary traffic.

The signs are in place between J18 and J20 on the M4, and near J2 of the M32.

Signs will also be installed on the M4 approaching Almondsbury from the Severn Crossings and the M5 near Almondsbury.
