Leaflet encourages more recycling
A new leaflet detailing everything which can be brought to recycling centres is being sent to households in the Bath area.

Bath & North East Somerset Council has produced the literature to encourage more waste recycling.

The leaflet also lays out where all the main recycling containers are at each site and explains what happens to the materials collected for recycling.

Currently the council area recycles 32% of household waste.

"Since introducing recycling advisors to help people sort their waste when they visit the site, the amount of material we have been recycling has increased from 40% to 60%," said Councillor Gerry Curran.

"Now, with the help of this leaflet, we're hoping to increase the amount we recycle to 70%."
