Second police chase driver dies
A 32-year-old man, injured in a crash with a car being followed by police in Somerset, has died in hospital.

He was driving a Ford Escort which was in collision with a Honda on the A38 at Stone Gallows in Taunton on Saturday.

The 34-year-old Honda driver, who police said had failed to stop at the scene of previous accident, was killed.

The Ford driver died from his injuries at Musgrove Park Hospital in Taunton on Monday. An independent inquiry is to be held into the deaths.

Police are continuing to appeal for information about both collisions.

The first happened at about 2150 GMT outside the Crown and Sceptre pub on Station Road.

The second, on the A38, happened shortly afterwards.

On Tuesday afternoon, police named the Honda driver as 34-year-old James Alexander Dunn, from Taunton.
