New night lights for rescue craft
The new lights
The lights have already been tested
A rescue hovercraft in Burnham-On-Sea is now in service 24 hours a day after new searchlights were fitted.

The lights on the Spirit Of Lelaina will allow the crew to search the mud flats during the night.

Mark Newman, from the organisation that runs the hovercraft, said: "The lights will be invaluable, helping us to quickly find casualties."

The craft was previously on call during daylight hours only. Volunteers are needed to help run the rescue service.
