Students took time out to enjoy a traditional Christmas lunch |
Would-be Santas returned to school to be trained up for Christmas shows across the UK. Twenty prospective Santa Clauses attended a day-long course at Wookey Hole, Somerset, on Tuesday.
Performers studied the history of Father Christmas, languages and reindeer names and attended a costume and make-up workshop.
The students also had a turkey sandwich and mince pie lunch, after studying trends in "hip" Christmas gifts.
After the "graduation" ceremony, the merry Santas were then ready to take on duties at grottos, stores and supermarkets.
