Funding came from a variety of sources

The garden in Crewkerne was designed by 18-year-old Melissa Whittaker for use by the town's residents.

Material for the project came from local suppliers, including a quarry and garden nursery.

Melissa won a Millennium Award from the Prince's Trust for the garden's design and was given �1,000 to help set it up. Further funding came from councils.

Around �9,000 was also granted by Living Spaces, an organisation set up to improve open spaces.
