The coastguard was alerted
The parents of a teenager killed when his friend's car crashed on to a beach are calling for barriers at the site.

Tom Broomhall and Julian Bowen, both 19, died when the car skidded off the Toll Road near Weston-super-Mare, Somerset, on 30 April.

Mr Broomhall's father Mike says steps must be taken to prevent another tragedy.

A spokesman for the local council said money is being spent on improving the road.
