Green charity wins Queen's award

The Queen's Award for Voluntary Service was won by the trust
A charity that recycles furniture and household appliances for people on low incomes has received an award for its work.

The trust, based at Norton Fitzwarren, has been awarded The Queen's Award for Voluntary Service.

The service, which was set up eight years ago, receives donations of furniture from the public.

The award was presented by the Lord-Lieutenant of Somerset, Lady Gass, on Wednesday, 1 September.
