Royal Victoria Park met the eight green flag criteria |
A park in Bath has been given an award which recognises it as one of the area's best open spaces. Royal Victoria Park was one of only 12 spaces to win the award in the South West.
The judges made the decision after a "vigorous" inspection in August.
They found the park met the eight criteria required to achieve green flag status.
These included the park being well maintained, clean and involving the community.
In the report the judges said: "Royal Victoria Park should be extremely proud of its assets and achievements.

"Royal Victoria Park's success in this year's Green Flag Award reflects good management of an urban park." The award is the second the park has won in the past month.
The Botanical Gardens have also been awarded the Britain in Bloom 2003 Park Award.
Councillor Nicole O'Flaherty said the achievement showed how good she thinks the park is.
"To have achieved one major award this year was fantastic. To have achieved a second in less than a month is amazing."
The green flag award is organised by the Civic Trust, the Commission for Architecture and the Built Environment.
