Westland makes Merlin and Lynx helicopters
Workers at a Somerset helicopter factory have gone out on strike.

A total of 450 staff at Agusta Westland in Yeovil voted for industrial action following a dispute over pay.

The men and women all work in the company's transmission factory, which makes gearboxes for the EH 101 Merlin helicopter.

The workers are thought to be planning further strike action on Friday.

Agusta Westland, the only helicopter manufacturer in the UK, makes Lynx and Apache helicopters.
