Car crashes into hotel reception

A car has crashed into a hotel reception after a collision on a Nottingham city centre road.

The red Vauxhall Corsa collided with a blue Mercedes van before careering into the Ice House on Belward Street, near the Ice Arena.

Fire and ambulance crews were called to the accident at about 0755 GMT and the road was blocked for a short time.

Police said the driver of the car suffered minor injuries and was treated for shock.

No other injuries were reported.
