The owners of a Nottingham nightclub where a man died outside have decided not to open the venue for one Saturday night as a mark of respect.

Liam Munn, 19, from Nuthall, was found with head injuries outside the Halo nightclub in the early hours of 18 January. He died in hospital.

A vigil is being held by Mr Munn's friends and family on Saturday night in the area where he died.

Simeon Ferguson, 18, from Nottingham, has been charged with manslaughter.

Halo's general manager Jamie Kellett said: "We are aware that friends and family will be holding a vigil in the area to mark Liam's tragic death and we feel that it will be easier for family and friends to come together and remain in the area if Halo is closed."

Mr Ferguson has been remanded into custody until 4 February.

Three other men, 18, 24 and 25, and a 17-year-old boy arrested in connection with the death have been released on bail.
