The complex caters for 20 boarders and two day pupils |
A group of disabled pupils in Nottingham is getting specially adapted facilities, thanks to an investment of 160,000 from a charity. The cash from Scope, which helps people who have cerebral palsy, is paying for adapted accommodation which includes a range of specialist equipment.
The students all go to Rutland House School in Nottingham.
Head teacher Carole Oviatt-Ham said the facility would make a "massive difference" to the pupils.
"The staff that support them will know their needs because they have a detailed care plan," she said.
The equipment includes baths and toilets and wheelchair access to the school's new bungalow.
Rutland House includes a primary school and a secondary school with two day pupils and 20 boarders.
The curriculum includes regular visits to theatres, local shops and other leisure activities.
