Speed limit reduced on busy road
Speed limits are being cut from 60mph to 40mph on one of the busiest roads in Nottingham.

The changes on the A52 and the A453 are being introduced after a series of accidents on the Clifton flyover.

Resurfacing will also begin on the roads on 22 May with delays expected for several months as work takes place.

The first phase of the work on the project will affect a stretch between the Queen's Medical Centre and the Nottingham Knight Island.

The speed limit is being reduced from 70mph along most of the section.

The Highways Agency is erecting more signs and road markings to try and make the road safer.

Work is due to finish on 24 July and most of the work will be done at night.
