Smoking ban to include play areas
Playgrounds and sports sites are to be made smoke-free in the next stage of Nottingham's smoking ban.

Nottingham City Council has already banned smoking in all its buildings but now new playgrounds and young people's sites are also to be included.

A skate park in Maples Street and a playground in Kirkstead Street, Hyson Green, will be the first to receive outdoor smoking bans.

But the council admits it has no power to force people to put out cigarettes.
