Legionella is a rare form of pneumonia
Traces of legionella bacteria have been found at a second Nottingham school.

Tests of water at the Hadden Park High School in Bilborough revealed the bacteria, which was also found recently at Glenbrook Primary School.

Hadden Park's school kitchen has been closed down and the water supply has been sterilised.

Pupils will be given packed lunches for the time being, but the school is not being closed. The water supply in the rest of the school is not affected.

Flu-like illness

The bacteria were found at Glenbrook Primary School, on the same campus in Bilborough, in early November, but no pupils were affected.

Bottled water was provided for the children while investigators studied the problem.

Further results from the latest series of tests at Hadden Park are expected in a week.

Legionella is a flu-like illness that can spread through contaminated water droplets.
