More than 50 local authorities are meeting in Nottingham on Monday to discuss improving council owned homes. Organised by Broxtowe Borough Council, the event is for areas where the housing stock has not been privatised.
Many areas have transferred their housing stock to ALMO - Arms Length Management Organisations - which attract extra government funding.
But the other authorities are concerned they may miss out by retaining their housing stock.
They are joining forces to urge the government to give them extra funding.
