The campaign to rename a road in memory of football manager Brian Clough has finally got the green light. The first signs naming a stretch of the A52 between Derby and Nottingham after Clough are expected to be put up next month, council officials say.
His supporters have lobbied to have the road renamed as Brian Clough Way.
Councils along the route have ordered new signs - which could be in place for the first anniversary of his death on 20 September.

A Derby City Council spokesman said: "From the moment somebody came up with the idea a lot of people thought it was excellent.
"We have been working with other councils to agree a way forward."
Highways officials had earlier said adding the new signs might be confusing.
Council officials said they wanted to coordinate the installation of the signs with other road work so disruption would be kept to a minimum.
Clough, who played for Middlesbrough and managed Derby County and Nottingham Forest to League Cup wins in the 1970s and early 1980s, died in September 2004 from cancer, aged 69.
He won two European Cups with Nottingham Forest in 1979 and 1980.
Clough also won two England caps and scored 251 goals in 274 games as a striker for Middlesbrough and Sunderland.
