Police motorcyclists are offering advice to new bikers at a training session in Derbyshire. The event at Pavilion car park in Matlock Bath comes after eight bikers were killed and more than 100 seriously injured in the county in the past year.
Derbyshire County Council is teaming up with road safety groups to hold the information and training event.
Training covers hazard awareness, forward planning, road positioning, overtaking, bends and cornering.
The council's cabinet member for community safety services Joyce Sander said the session was a chance for motorcyclists to improve their skills.
The one-day course costs about 60 with 60% subsidised by the county council.
