Voles make a tentative comeback
The water vole population may be falling nationally, but a new study shows the mammal is returning to a former haunt in the East Midlands.

The Forestry Commission says voles have returned to a part of Nottinghamshire.

Conservationists have spent ten years trying to attract the mammals to Rainworth Water at Sherwood Pines Forest Park.

It is thought the voles are being lured back to the area partly thanks to the closure of local coal mines.
