Men offered new cancer treatment
Men in Nottingham suffering from prostate cancer will soon have access to a revolutionary new treatment due to money raised by the Masons.

The Mark Master Masons donated 61,000 to Nottingham City Hospital's new urology unit, due to open next year.

Brachytherapy places radioactive seeds directly into the prostate gland to combat the cancer, while reducing radiation exposure to healthy tissue.

It is hoped the treatment will help up to 50 patients in the area each year.

Currently Nottingham patients needing Brachytherapy have travelled as far as America to receive the treatment.
