Mansfield has a doctor shortage |
A recruitment drive has been launched to tackle a shortage of doctors and health staff in parts Nottinghamshire. There is a major shortage of NHS staff in certain areas of the county, particularly in Mansfield and Ashfield.
Experts say GPs, consultants and administrative staff are needed, in addition to staff for specialist fields such as occupational therapy.
The recruitment programme was launched on Wednesday at Boughton Pumping Station, near Ollerton.
It is aiming to attract doctors from outside the region.
A number of primary care trusts in Nottinghamshire have joined forces to run the programme.
