Public inquiry into new station
A public inquiry which has been delayed for years is expected to begin into plans for a new railway station near Nottingham East Midlands Airport.

The 17m Parkway project forms a key part of the region's transport plan.

The proposals are for 1,000 parking spaces at the airport and a special shuttle bus link.

The plans have been on hold since 2002 over a problem concerning the sale of the land next to Ratcliffe Power Station in Nottinghamshire.
