A mother whose son died from leukaemia is handing over more than 100,000 to the hospital where staff tried to save his life.

Susan Skillington, from Mansfield, North Nottinghamshire, raised the money by walking from John O'Groats to Lands End with four friends.

James Skillington, 22, died at Nottingham's City Hospital after two bone marrow transplants.

The money will be handed over to consultants at the leukaemia unit.

A special celebration is being held there on Wednesday to mark the 10th anniversary of the Nottinghamshire Leukaemia Appeal.
