Walkers finish marathon in bras
Nina Barough (after completing New York Marathon)
Nina Barough says the group wanted to push themselves.
Three Nottinghamshire women have power-walked the Paris Marathon in decorated bras to raise money to fight cancer.

Reggie Pugh, Philippa Phipps, and Beth Graham from West Bridgford, joined Eunice Salmon from Swindon and Leicester-born Moonwalk founder Nina Barough.

They wore bras and pinnies based on the Moulin Rouge theme.

Having walked several marathons they wanted to really push themselves in Sunday's event.

Nina Barough made the decision to speed-walk the Paris Marathon last November.

On Sunday she said: "We finished in about five hours 45 minutes which was what we wanted to do, but we won't know the exact times until the results come through.

"It's been a great day - fabulous weather and a fabulous marathon."

The money the power-walkers raise from the Paris Marathon will be granted by Walk the Walk to Breakthrough Breast Cancer and the Bristol Cancer Help Centre, which offers patients a holistic approach to treatment of the disease.

The Playtex Moonwalk 2004, organised by the health charity Walk the Walk, takes place in London on 15 May.
