A new bridge has been constructed at a haven for wildlife to improve access for disabled visitors. Nottinghamshire County Council has been upgrading the Attenborough Nature Reserve with new paths and seating.
The 100,000 bridge was lifted into place between The Strand, and the River Trent on Saturday.
The project is part of a partnership between quarry operators RMC, Broxtowe Borough Council and Nottinghamshire Wildlife Trust.
Steve Fisher of Broxtowe Borough Council said: "It's the last important link to improve the quality of footpaths around the reserve."
