Paver banned from advertising
A builder accused of harassing customers and carrying out substandard work has been banned from operating in Nottingham.

Trading Standards say complaints about John Docherty's paving company, based in Hinckley, Leicestershire, have prompted them to issue an enforcement order against him until July.

Officials have taken advantage of new powers under the Enterprise Act 2002 to stop Mr Docherty canvassing households.

He has been ordered to pay costs.

Officials say Mr Docherty regularly canvasses neighbourhoods in Nottinghamshire with flyers advertising his block paving services.

He has been accused of failing to carry out the work with reasonable care and skill, failing to provide a 10-year guarantee and not providing customers with details of their cancellation rights.

He has also been accused of harassing and threatening clients
