Teenager faces poster campaign
Council officials in Mansfield are to put up posters naming a boy who is said to have created a climate of fear on a housing estate.

Residents in the Ladybrook area will be told to report the 14-year-old if he breaks the conditions of an anti-social behaviour order.

A court was told the boy was responsible for a series of incidents.

A man gave evidence to say he had been punched in the face by the boy.

Exclusion order

Other complaints involved verbal abuse and criminal damage.

District judge Mervyn Harris, at Mansfield Magistrates court, imposed a two-year anti social behaviour order.

He said there had been a climate of fear with people afraid of retribution if they reported incidents to the police.

But some on the estate spoke in support of the boy, saying his family had become victims.

The order will exclude the boy from certain areas around Ladybrook and he will also face a curfew.
