Marian Bates was killed by robbers on Tuesday |
The detective leading the murder hunt for the killers of a Nottingham jeweller on Tuesday is making a special appeal to find them. Marian Bates, 64, was shot dead in the family's jewellery store in Arnold during a robbery, but her killers escaped.
Detective Superintendent George Frame of Nottinghamshire Police is appealing directly to the relatives, friends or girlfriends of the two armed robbers.
He says the men could have become withdrawn or be displaying unusual behaviour or showing signs of stress.

The policeman also said the men might be taking an unusual interest in the murder.
On Sunday, prayers will be said at churches across Nottinghamshire for the family of Marian Bates.
Almost 1,000 people have signed a book of condolence for Mrs Bates at Arnold Methodist Church, which is opposite the shop where she died.
And a special service is being held in Arnold Market Place in memory of Marian Bates on Tuesday starting at 1230 BST.
