Youth assembly recruitment drive
Teenagers took control of Mansfield on Monday as part of a drive to recruit youngsters for an assembly in the town.

The table top exercise which was held at the Civic Centre saw teenagers taking decisions about issues like crime and disorder, housing and education.

They were also invited to record their thoughts on camera of what it is like to live in the town.

The youth council will meet eight times a year representing the views of young people.

Organisations like the county and district councils will consult the assembly on matters which affect young people.
