 David Stroud says his honour is also for his colleagues |
An ornithologist from Northamptonshire working on trends in bird populations across the world has been appointed MBE in the New Year Honours list. David Alan Stroud works for the Joint Nature Conservation Committee that advises government and organisations on ways to maintain and enrich ecosystems. Mr Stroud said he had spent most of his career working as part of a team and the honour was also for his colleagues. He has also monitored for 30 years the lives of Greenland White-fronted geese. During his career he has seen the impact of global warming on bird populations especially those that make their home in the wetlands.
