Boys suffer bites in dog attack
Two boys have been attacked by a dog in Northamptonshire and police have said they believe the animal may have attacked others.

The children, aged 10 and 11, were treated for bites to their lower legs from a black Belgian Shepherd dog in Owen Close, Wellingborough.

A police dog handler caught the animal after the attack on Saturday afternoon.

Police said they would like to speak to anyone who witnessed the attack or was also bitten by the dog.

Officers are speaking to the dog's owner in an attempt to establish what happened.

A spokesman for Northamptonshire Police said: "This was a horrible incident for the two boys involved and we would urge anyone who witnessed this incident to come forward.

"We would also like to thank those members of the public who helped the victims, including a taxi driver who provided shelter for one of the boys and his mother."
