Toby
Toby was treated by vets after being found on an airfield
A cat has had its leg amputated after it was shot with an air gun in Northamptonshire.

The cat, named Toby by vets, was found at Podington Airfield, Wellingborough, with fragments of an airgun pellet in one of its front paws.

The RSPCA said the leg was so badly fractured that it had to be amputated.

Anyone with information about the attack is asked to contact the RSPCA. Those guilty could face a six-month prison sentence and 5,000 fine.
